    Covalence Return & Warranty Policy

    At Covalence, we are committed to creating products that are as reliable as they are beautiful. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we stand by the quality of our limited-edition bags.

    30-Day Return Policy

    If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return the item within 30 days of receipt for a full refund. To be eligible, the bag must be in its original condition, with no signs of damage. Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the product is defective.

    Warranty Coverage

    For customers who love their Covalence bag and use it as intended, we offer a warranty to ensure its continued functionality:

    • Strap Connection Hardware: Covered for two years from the date of purchase.
    • Zippers: Covered for one year from the date of purchase.

    If any covered issue arises within the warranty period, we will repair or replace the component at no cost. After 30 days from purchase, customers are responsible for shipping costs to and from our facility.

    Commitment to Limited Editions

    As our bags are crafted in small, limited-edition batches using unique materials, exact replacements may not always be possible. In such cases, we will work with you to ensure the repair maintains the bag's functionality and aligns with its original character.

    General Repairs

    Beyond the warranty period, we offer affordable repair services to help you extend the life of your bag.

    Warranty Exclusions

    Our warranty covers defects in materials and craftsmanship but does not extend to general wear and tear, accidental damage, or misuse. 

    Zippers are a special piece of hardware which is not easily replaced, since it is one of the first components assembled in the production. If the tape on the zipper is stretched to the point of separating the teeth, and zipper pull becomes misaligned and pull is disconnected from either side, zipper is not repairable.  It costs more to replace the zipper than the initial production. Adjacent materials to the zipper, everything, needs to be taken apart and is not able to be reassembled. We can offer a less than preferred or refined, magnetic zipper flap installation, starting July 2025, in the event of the zipper tape being damaged with inoperable closure. The service fee is $60 + shipping fees. We do not want the piece rendered useless, and are working on the development of a zipperless, secure option, to avoid this issue.

    How to File a Claim

    To start a return, warranty claim, or repair request, contact us at [insert contact details] with your proof of purchase and a description of the issue.

     We do not accept returns on trash pouches or pocket ashtrays.

    To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

    Return payments may be issued on reception and inspection of returnable items.

    There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
    Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

    Refunds (if applicable)
    Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
    If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

    Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
    If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
    Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
    Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

    Sale items (if applicable)
    Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

    Exchanges (if applicable)
    We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. The limited edition nature of our designs does not always lend itself to exact exchange, so we will work with you on this. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@covalence.cc and send your item to:

    Gifts
    If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

    If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

    You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

    Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

    If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
